Major chords
Major chords are the basic chords in music theory. They consist of a root note, major third (+4 semitones) and perfect fifth (+7 semitones). They often occur as three-note chords and are called triads then. There are more chords named "major" such as major seventh chords which are listed separately and have different attributes.
